Making Memories Is The Name Of The Game
Still reminiscing of my time in S.C. with the family over the Holidays...we had such a great time! In addition to Christmas and all that entails we also did some other extraordinary things...

Daddy turned 69!!!! He looks great!!! Celebrating this birthday with him is a reminder of God's mercy and healing power! We decided we were tired of cooking so the family went to one my sister's favorite Sushi restaurants. NO sushi for me, but I did enjoy some great seafood. Darby and Leila made Bobba (Daddy) cards, which they insisted on reading out loud and then few more presents to open.

Instead of the traditional cake and candles, we all decided to stop at an old family favorite - The Nutty Sweetshop. This is an ice-cream shop that I literally have not been in in over 20 years!!! I felt like I went back in time. I was so thrilled to have my normal - a butterscotch sundae with extra nuts. Heeeehaw!!! My sisters' and brother-in-laws' were so embarrassed of my taking pictures and wanting to purchase a t - shirt (which they were out of at the time). I didn't care - making memories is the name of the game!!

It is tradition to play games during the Christmas holiday and we were introduced to a new one called Bunko (I think that is how you spell it). We even planned meals around this game... the whole family got to play, kids and all! Really fast paced. Have you ever played it? So much fun!!
On our trip back to Nashville we had to make our annual stop at American Girl store... uggg!!... that joint has too much of my hard earned $$$$$. Darby and Leila got to go together. Each one had a budget (thank God) and once it was gone - it was GONE (which is about one item)...seriously! The girls had a blast, another memory and that is what matters.

Hope you all are keeping your resolutions, making memories and lovin' those that bring you such happiness!!
blessings, and Happy New Year, Leigh
I have left a comment on Jan 9th,was wondering if it had been noticed,it is reguarding my desire to have Piont of Grace come and play for a Very Special cause; Hope&Comming Home, here in Tehachapi,CA. I am the founder of C.O.V.E.R Citizens Organization for Veterans Education and Relief,it is my hope to inspire our Service Women &Men, that there is Hope in comming Home, that someone will be here 100%,to help them in their challenging transitions.I personally helped put together a concert almost 2 years ago at Olive Knolls church in Bakersfield,CA in association with Jesus Shack. I know these things arent easy to coordinate, but I would like to know what is needed to make this a reality for the Many Veterans in this area. James B. Ruse II 661-809-4179.
