Merry Christmas From Denise
Well, it's getting close to the actual day!! Are you ready? I am definitely not. I started the week off only having bought 3 presents. The kids are home and I can't exactly take them with me everywhere that I need to go. But ya know what? It's okay!! I'm doing my best to not stress about it. What needs to get done will get done. It's so nice to be home with my family. December is always a challenging, but good month for us. After we get off tour, it's just wonderful to be home. Who cares that I just now got the tree decorated or that my house is a wreck? i think I realize more and more every year how much I just cherish being home.
Speaking of home. I consider two places home. One, is of course here in Nashville. We will be celebrating Christmas morning in a new house this year. IT will be fun to develop new memories for this home. Then we will go to Oklahoma (the place that built me). My boys are soooo excited to go and be with their grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins. I love that they love Oklahoma and that it is a part of them even though they weren't born there and have never lived there. We will get to ring in the New Year there. I can't believe this year has already gone by. It just seems a few months ago that we were on the Mark Schultz tour. Spence is now 3 inches taller than me. Price plays guitar way better than me. I mean, it's just unbelievable how fast they are growing.
God has walked with me this year. I pray that I'm growing in the ability to find calmness in Him. I am so thankful for many things this year, but I'm looking forward to what lies ahead in next year as well.
Have a wonderful time being with the people you love as you celebrate the One who loved us most of all. As I reflect on our newly recorded song "The Giver and The Gift". He truly is our all in all. Without him we would have nothing. Thank you Jesus for giving us the ability to even believe in you. It's truly amazing.
Have a Merry Christmas!! Happy Birthday Jesus!
