I just wrote on Friday and now it's already Monday. The weekend went fast. It sure was a great one though:) Friday night our Panthers beat our opponent. Spence didn't get to play, but was sooooo happy to be dressed out in his uniform. The first of the season due to his injury. I think he felt more part of the team. Here is a picture of warm-ups. The first time in a varsity uniform. He looks so grown up to me.
Saturday morning we hosted Leigh's baby shower. She got some super cute little boy clothes. ahhhh they are so sweet! My favorite part of the shower was the food of course. Quiche, breakfast casserole, fruit, cinnamon rolls, chicken mini's from chick fi la, and of course my favorite thing, the white cake. It was really fun.
Here is Leigh and the hostesses
AND the picture of the cake with these cute bassinets made out of diapers and blankets. So cute. Obviously I did not make those.
The nicest thing about my weekend was that when I got home from the shower and my husband and boys had cleaned the house!!!! Wow, what a nice surprise. Most of the laundry was done. I had thought that I was going to end up cleaning house all afternoon. Instead I got to lay on the couch and watch college football!!! It was awesome.
Had a great Sunday at church, more football, went on a walk with a friend, and then we went to see UNCONDITIONAL as a family. So thankful for a weekend at home. Tonight Price has a baseball game. Monday's are always a big day for preparing for the week. AND homework. ugh. Hope that you all have a blessed week.
Yay it's Friday and I'm so happy to be home this weekend. It's been a full week, but lots of good things. I'm running around today getting ready for Leigh's baby shower tomorrow:) Fun times and always a good reason to have white cake which is my favorite dessert in the world. It's been a while since any of my friends have had a baby so I'm looking forward to it.
Spence's arm has finally healed. Thank you Lord. He get's to dress out for his first Varsity game of the year. He won't play tonight, but at least he is finally healthy.
Price ran for Student council this past week. He was Class President last year, so we weren't sure how things would turn out this year. BUT, I'm excited to say that he won!!! Here are some pics of our campaign headquarters.
He takes the job seriously so I'm very happy for him. Another thing I wanted to tell you about is a new movie that is out on the big screen. It's called "UNCONDITIONAL". Please go and support this movie. It has such a beautiful message of God's redemption. It is based on a true story. I will give you the heads up that it is PG-13 due to some of the violence that occurs in the story. So, if you have a younger middle school child, you may want to view it before you have them see it. The message is great though. ALSO, Price is in the movie:) You will see his face for about 10 seconds, but it's there and so you will have to let me know if you see it and notice him. He's so excited that he is on the big screen. haha
One other thing I thought I'd show you because I thought it was a great idea. Called "cake in a cup." It's a great way to serve dessert to kids:) My friend Kelly Berry made them for a luncheon the other day and I thought it was so cute.
Well, I'm getting my hair colored right now, so I won't have dark roots anymore:) Then I've got to get my appetizers made for the football tailgate tonight. Hope you have a very blessed weekend. I know I'm planning on it.
When is it okay to "make over" your significant other? Where should you draw the line?
In this week's segment of He Mail, Shelley shares her own experience with helping her husband with his fashion sense. However, the girls think the line between small fashion advice and getting a personal trainer is quite large and deserves some closer consideration.
