Graceful Living This Week

We all love vacation. But it sometimes ends up feeling more like work, doesn't it?

Here's the solution for that in this week's He Mail: Avoiding stress when traveling. Shelley, Leigh, and Denise all share some insight on their experiences with traveling, giving great tips for avoiding major stress factors. Take a listen, then add your own thoughts!

Back To School - YAY!!!!

Today I dropped Darby off at school for her first day of 4th grade...YIKES!!!! I may share different feelings from most parents but Darby is more than ready to go back to school and I was sharing the same feeling. Darby has had a tremendous summer of theme parks (one more on Sunday in Hot Springs, Ark.), a trip to the beach, tons of activities like skating, swimming and so many play dates I've lost count... So SHE is ready for some structure, earlier bedtimes and a new basketball season.

We are grateful for a summer of safety, fun, fellowship and extraordinary memories!!! I pray for all of our children today as they begin a new chapter this school year, whatever their age may be.

Darby was so excited to see her 4th grade teacher - Mrs. Cortez. Can you tell by that face how happy Darby is? So sweet!!!!

Darby was over me taking pictures but one day she will look back and be so glad I did.

Alright, I will stop my nonsense...

Please send pics of your kids to our Facebook page. We love staying connected with all of you - we are in this together!!!

Also, pray for us this weekend, we are doing our 2nd GOG conference of 2012 - The Beautiful Truth in Jackson, MS on Saturday. I can't express how fantastic these events have become. I am honored to learn from our tremendous speakers as well as joining in on beautiful Worship with Meredith Andrews and so much more!!! Check out Girlsofgrace.com for a location near you!!! An event that could change your daughters life!

Hug all of your kids today if you can and remind them how much you LOVE them!!!! We can never say it enough!!

blessings, leigh

The age old battle: Men vs. Women.

New research puts women ahead in IQ tests now - and boy, do the girls have a field day with that! Listen to them discuss these new findings and what could be the explanation for opposite results in the past. Be sure to share your opinions with us -- whether you agree or not!

Shelley Says...

Happy Wednesday my friends! The girls and I have been busily getting ready for our SECOND Girls of Grace conference for the season this weekend in Jackson, Mississippi. Yesterday we went through the entire script for this Saturday, and it is going to be an AMAZING weekend. If you live anywhere close and are a teenage girl, or HAVE a teenage girl, please join us this Saturday.

This weekend we will be joined by Chris August, Meredith Andrews, and Group 1 Crew, along with some incredible teen communicators! AND, if you're a mom- do not count yourself out. There will tons of useful information and inspiring messages that you will get tons out of!

We truly hope to see you there.

Also, if you are an Arkansas dweller- we will be singing at Magic Springs in Hot Springs on SUNDAY NIGHT! (And most likely riding roller coasters all day with out kids!)

A busy but fun weekend ahead for us! Hope to see you on the road-
